ok well my ? my girlfriend has a turiste visa to come to the us and visit,well towards the end of November 2006 she got her visa to visit but she still is in peru as still today,but i just want to know how long is that visa to the us valid for?is it good to travel up to 6 months or less.but she tells me that after this month the visa would expire just want to know if this is true or not???

The previous answer is wrong: a US visa never "goes stale."

As for how long the visa is valid for, it says so right on it. She can enter the US any time before the expiration date that is printed on the visa, and can stay as long as CBP allows her to stay. Since a visa is valid for ENTRY not for length of stay, she could even arrive on the day before it expires and might still be allowed to stay as long as six months.

That is probably true. When given a visa like that there is a date by which she has to use it (enter by this date) or the visa goes stale.
So you probably should fly her up her for a visit.
The visa is probably multiple entry - once she comes in - then she can leave and return as much as she wants.
