IF the reasons behind the cheating are discovered and worked through, then yes, the relationship can work, and in fact, will most likely be better than ever because everything will be out on the table. Without more information, it's too hard to give you an accurate answer... one has to know why the cheater cheated...

It can work, but it will take a lot of time to regain trust and that could make the relationship fall apart completely! But, yes people have worked things out and have gotten married and everything after cheating. I don't know if I would spend too much time apart...they may just move on

I dont think they do work out but that is just me because I believe once a cheater always a cheater but I also beleive that everybdy deserves a second chance. So good luck in your life I hope it all works out.

in some cases it does work out but most of the time the affected person never really gets over the fact that their "loved one" has been with someone else. its kind like a win/loose situation sometimes and then most of the time is loose/loose situation. the best thing to do is move on and to find someone who is faithful and loyal and respects you enough to not sleep around with other people.

yes i think that the longer the time that has passed the better the chance that the one cheated on will forgive the cheater, and take them back, especialy is they really loved that person. they say time heals all and it is true.

Have a big figure-it-out session. If both parties are willing to try again, things can definitely work out. You don't have to take time off.

Yes if both agree to work it out. Couples therapy might be a good option to help work things out.
