I've always been interested in joining the Foreign Services, but my father is half English, and I have a U.K. passport in addition to my American passport. Would I be allowed to work as a Foreign Service Officer and if so would there be any restrictions?

Yes, there are many FSOs who are dual citizens. You would not be assigned to the country of your other nationality, however, since you would not be entitled to any diplomatic immunities in a country where you are a citizen. So you could work anwhere but the UK.

Welcome to the foreign service!
