It helps to look in the window. Looking in front of the car is the best. Looking in the back window is bad. Your body likes to "understand" where it is going. If you try to read or play games inside the car you are a lot more likely to get motion sickness.
Fresh air helps too. Don't eat anything that your stomach has troubles with, like coffee with too much cream.

This may sound crazy but it worked for me. When I was a kid I would get queazy on road trips. My mom would give me a penny and tell me to stick it in my bellybutton. It actually kept me from barfing on road trips.

Also, if you're reading while riding in the car, this could be a cause of your motion sickness.

you need to look at something that isn't moving. try the horizon, or if at night, the moon. it always works for me.

also, try to avoid reading or anything that makes your eyes squint. that will make you puke!

also, roll the window down if you ever feel queasy, it really helps.

I I get sick too. If you open the window and get some fresh air that usually helps.

Sit in the front seat. Keep your eyes on the horizon...don't look around or try to read.
