A Smith and Wesson Model 29 .44 magnum is easily worth 450.00 in average "NRA very good" condition. The price can climb from there depending on barrel length, finish type, and year of manufacture.
Go to a book store and locate a "Big Blue Book of Gun Values", or similar publication and look it up...
...You will be pleasently suprised.

A good used gun is better than a new crappy gun someone said and I happen to agree. You have good and expensive taste for liking Sig Sauer they are truly atop the food chain. I do disagree with some people as to the suitability of some pistols for target work. I don't find any of the DAO (double action only) pistols to have the ease of use that Double action/Single action and Single action only semi autos have. DAO's are in my opinion best for self defense and home protection scenarios and not for shooting at paper. DA/SA and SA have a distinct advantage at the range. A used Beretta 92 in good condition is @ $500 and a new Italian made model is $639 at my local shop. You are not going to find any CZ any cheaper and besides CZ's trigger are the worst in the industry absolute crap. Some Euro SIg police trade in's are making the rounds and can be had for @ $500. They may have the finish worn on the edges but it's for shooting not to look at right.

It depends on the Model, age, and condition.
An older model 29 blued barrell exellent cond- maybe $275
A newer model 629 stainless - maybe $400
If it's been shot alot, knock off $100. It really depends on how much the buyer wants it, in the long run .

Depending on how good of condition it is and what size barrel, stainless or blued, they can vary anywhere from 350-500 dollars used.

Couple of hundred bucks if it is used . . $450 new. On the streets you should be able to pick up a 'used' one with a body or two on it for around $40 ($25 if its a cops body).
