Start with his original last name, the one before his adoption. If he doesn't have it, then you can look at his adoption records, which should be kept by the state. (he should be able to access them for you) Once you have his adoption records (which should contain the names of his biological parents) type them into a people search website such as http://people.yahoo.com or http://ussearch.com or http://anywho.com After that, go find some phone book(s) from the city (or cities) listed. Find there number and give them a call. My personal advice is to not leave a message filled with emotion, although it may be tempting. Be aware, they may not be the one's your looking for and they may be dead. If they're dead, you will be able to find them here: http://rootsweb.com (click on the SSN death index) (SSN stands for social security number) I would do that first if I were you. I hope you find who you're looking for, the best of luck!
P.S. If you need help, e-mail me at s.elizabeth101@yahoo.com with "my grandparents" in the subject line.

First off, that is not easy to do... I don't believe you can ask to locate someone by means of police or government involvement, but there are organizations out there to help you. A google search reveals all. I wish you luck on finding them. Chances are good you will if you receive enough help.

who raised him will help you get started. i know you dad wasn't found on a door stoop. so ask them and then go from there. i'm sure there is a mom out there wondering what happened to her son. maybe this is a good time to start. you'll need medical background information for you and maybe your children one day, so start you adventure, and good luck
