Does the person count really matter when checking in to a hotel?

If I reserve a room for 2 and 3 are staying, will it really matter? They're not going to really want to see every single person in the room and make sure, are they? Any info. please.

No but some hotel will charge u extra for the third person.. I wouldnt worry too much about the third person

Nah, just ask 4 an xtra bed
