Why don't you see if your school offers junior ROTC... that way you can train just like the military do and be a part of it before you commit. That way you will see if it is right for you before commiting yourself and then regretting the decision later...

yes but get a college drgree first because enlisted mans pay is ******** compared to officers and you get treated better dont let the recruiter talk bs to you.talk to an officer recruiter so you can get the best deal. also go air force its the best branch as far as quality of life and don't do marines they are tough but tough don't get you a job.

My father was a lifer, we had a good life traveling and seeing the world. You can also get an education, experience and it helps on resumes once your out.

i think its too early in your life to make such a big desicions. Wait till the end of high school yo make that desicion. You never know what chances might come your way. You'll be suprised how much you'll change int eh next 4 years.

Yes, they will take that silly hat u wear off you and give you a hat to be proud of. They will teach you discipline and respect. They will give you a trade and a job, food, clothing and a bed. I did and I am happy that I did. Give your parents something to be proud of in you.
