You need to see a solicitor on Monday morning, to get Powers of Attorney. You may be asked to prove that he is unable to look after his affairs and that you are suitable person.
Best place to start looking for reputable solicitor is Citizen's Advice Bureau - as they know who good at it and who won;t charge you the earth for it
hope you manage to get it and keep your Grandpa protected - all the best

it depends on what you want a power of attorney for. There are software programs out there that work very well and then you only need to get it notarized. If you need a complicated one then you will need to see an attorney.

PS. If your Grandfather is not mentally capable of giving a power of attorney, then it can be challenged in court. You would then need to get a court ruling.

You need to see a lawyer if your grandfather is not competent to sign over that power to you on his own. He needs to be declared incompetent (a legal term, not an insult). It involves court hearings and definitely some legal fees. You need to find a probate lawyer.
