my friend was out for 2 days because she thought she had meningitis...she had the symptoms. she went to the hospital and everything, took an MRI...and she came in to school today, and said she didnt have it.
but im scared, i only saw her for like 20 minutes, she was sitting in the other end of the class room, but i had to walk by the area she was sitting to get to the door.
how contagious is it, like, even if she said she didnt have it, im scared!

don't b worried. She would still be in the hospital if she had it. I know this because i had it when i was about 15. If she did have it, everybody she came in contact with would have to go to the hospital to be checked out. It is highly contagious, and very dangerous! Doctors know that, and if she really had it she would not have been released from the hospital that quickly, she would still be in querentine. They must have been confused about the symptoms- so don't worry- you are safe. I promise.

Why would she lie to you?

If she had it, she would not have been in school.

Meningitis is an inflammation of the membranes that cover the brain and spinal cord, though. It can be caused by a virus or bacteria.
