My best friend and I talk about everything. He and I have confided in each other about a lot of personal stuff. But the one thing that bothers me the most is...it is so obvious that his girlfriend is using him. Now we have a mutual understanding and we accept and appreciate the others opinion. But when it comes to his woman, his nose is wide open. They have a history together, but he has been given a new lease on life, and dragging her into it will never get him anywhere. But I ultimately want him to be happy, and I know only he can make the decision for himself. I too was once there with my ex husband. And he saw everything I went through. Maybe I am not giving credit where credit is due. He has told me that he is aware of her wavering love, and he means to make a change for the new year. Should I let things just flow or should I just speak my mind as usual?

if you are a true friend, tell him and leave him be. at this point, it is up to him.

This is just like, when my wife asks if a dress makes her look fat...if you say something, no one wins...you or your friend. As a woman, he might even think that you're saying things because you're jealous...it's for sure his girlfriend will claim that.
The best thing you can do is to be there if things fall apart and he needs a shoulder to lean on and some one to talk to and listen.
In this case, there is nothing you can do to make him happy...so sit back and like you said, just let things flow.

I say you let things go on that. If he sees it there is no reason to remind him of it. Also sounds like you are doing it to benifit yourself. Maybe open a door for yourself. Just noticed something in what you wrote. I would keep shut especially if he has noticed it. Let him make his decision.

The only way I would address this with him is if I had absolutely rock-solid proof that his girlfriend is doing him wrong. If this is just gut feeling without any real evidence we're talking about here, I'd keep my nose out of it.

tell him before it's too late, you won't lose anything, just make sure you won't lose him as a friend, choose the right way to say it and the right time
