I have had feelings for this guy for almost two years. I had thought that when we first met there were feelings on his side too, but it was a complicated time for us to be together, not to mention we lived about 100 miles away. We kept in contact for the two years through email, but nothing ever happened, and I always had to initiate contact with him first. I eventually got fed up with it, and decided to stop contacting him. Well, we were at a mutual friends New Years Eve party and he decided to finally make a move on me. We ended up sleeping together, and now I don't know what to do. I don't know if it was just random sex or if he really wanted me. How do I know? What should I do?

He's really busy with going to school and working, and so am I. Is it unreasonable to think that he just doesn't have time for me, and thinks that I think the same way?

Men and women are wired differently in general. Guys don't have a problem having random sex. Where as women tend to mix sex with emotion, so random sex, or one night stands, are a little harder for us to do without emotion attached.
He probably saw it as just sex. And he probably thought you did too. He wouldn't have meant to hurt you or anything. I would say if he hasn't called you yet, it was just sex.
The fact that you had to initiate contact with him first each time you spoke through email was not a good sign. Its hard to let go when we have feelings for someone ,but don't let yourself get caught up anymore. You deserve better.

as a general rule, if you have to ask this question, it is probably about sex.
has he called you or written to you since New Year's Eve? If he hasn't, that is probably a clue.
Give him a call, and ask him to come and visit you this weekend. 100 miles isn't that far, not if a guy really cares about a girl.

he took advantage of the fact you were into him, if he never iniaited the contact he wasnt that into you, only if he calls or contact you since the sex he may have feelings but i think it was just sex
