Dunno.
Okay, okay. Here's the deal. For the most part, y'all seem to have set certain rules. The guys seem to have the power to do the asking, and the women seem to have the power to do the rejecting.
Rejection is not fun in private. It's worse in public.
NOTHING in high school is private. Guaranteed, if Suzy Creamcheese turns down Randy Rottencrotch for the prom date, those stats are instantly transmitted to all of Suzy's best friends. Confidentially, of course.
Suzy's best friends all tell their best friends. Confidentially, of course.
Pretty soon, you might as well just announce it on the loudspeaker after the pledge of alliegiance: "SUZY CREAMCHEESE TURNED DOWN RANDY ROTTENCROTCH FOR THE PROM!"
So guys are nervous and hide it by being aloof. Guys are also less likely to pick up on those lovely cues you ladies give.
Bill's Laws of Males:
1. It takes a brick to get some guys' attentions.
2. For other guys, it takes a REALLY big brick.
3. All guys fall into 1 or 2.
Stock up on bricks, ladies. Ask us out once in awhile. Reject kindly and don't advertise it to the entire free world.
Good luck.

First, I am only 14 years old so i don't know that much how these 16-17 year olds behave. Second I am a guy, so I exist (Thank u very much) and I have not had a date or a girlfriend. Maybe some guys in high school will not like u but someone will. Sometimes guys are incredibly shy, but they don't want to show it. So that's why some don't talk to cute girls, while others presume their Macho self. That's probably just it.

I can't speak for guys, becasue I'm a girl. But I think alot has to do with some guys don't know how to talk to a girl. Alot of them play video games and that usually leads to undeveloped social skills. Just keep trying to talk to them, a good one will come around.

At that age, guys have a lot of things on their minds. Sport, school, their mates etc. Just hang back until you find the right guy . When you go shopping you don't just grab the first thing you see do you? Be smart, wait until a decent guy comes your way.

Teenagers cant multi-task as a part of their brains are still developing that skill till they reach adulthood. Maybe a little slower for american teens..... So, since they only have sex fantasy in their brains, they couldnt hear u well enough.. Either that, or u r ostracized.

maybe they don't like you? I don't know, but if they are unresponsive, try a different older guy. High school has alot of immature people, you should know that by now.

It'd probably be for the best if you waited until after high school because most boys in high school think of women as little more than sex objects.

Just don't hint that you like someone make it obvious because there are alot of girls i now that seem like there flirting with everyone so if you wont a response make it obvious that you like the guy and we will response. By the way if you aren't taking about talking to someone you like then i dunno when someone talks to me I talk to them.
