Okay. I'm pregnant, and have been DYING all day for some greenbean casserole!! I have all the ingredients, but the expiration date on the bottom of my Cream of Mushroom soup says November of 2006. Do you think that it would still be good? It's Campbells brand.

All canned goods should stay good past their expiration date, unless the can is bulging. Canned goods almost never go bad.

maximum soups are sturdy for a minimum of 6 months previous the expiration date on the can. the only exception could be if the can has any bulges or defects interior the can. If the cans is superb you're ok ingesting that soup.

i've heard canned goods can be used past the expiration... which is sometimes more of a sell by date.... but I can't bring myself passed the psychological part of eating something that is "expired". Sure enough I'll bite an exceptionally large piece of mushroom and gross myself out with all kinds of thoughts.

I recently opened and ate a can of soup whose expire / sell by date was 8 months passed. No problem, it tasted as good as ever!!

Nope, stay away from it. It's cream based and by opening it, you are legally waiving your rights by accepting their warning of the expiration date.

Have the father buy some. He needs to make him a bit more useful and it is his job to fulfill all your needs while you nurse and hold his child. Just whine a little and make him feel worried or something. It will make him feel useful if he has a store to go to in order to get something for you.
