It's nearly $40 cheaper on Amazon? Where else can you purchase this? Because I would rather not pay shipping...

Maybe I wrote the question in a confusing way. But, what I was saying was, you can by the Apple Protection Plan at Amazon, and the cost is cheaper, than, what I think is the same thing, that Apple offers

It is not the same plan. It is for the same length of time, and involves the same *sorts* of services, but *not* the *same* services. The Apple Protection Plan comes straight from Apple, who have first-hand knowledge of the product. It also guarantees the use of real Apple repair parts.

At Amazon, you are getting a standard Amazon service plan, using their support people, and third-party repair shops. They make this plan available for *all* electronics sold at Amazon, not just Apple products.

It is generally likely that the Apple Plan is going to be more knowledgeable than the Amazon Plan, and the Amazon plan is also likely to be slower than the Apple plan. In theory, at least.
