I am 15 years old. I weigh in at about 112.5. People always say that I am thin, and that I dont need to lose weight. But I dont see myself as thin. When I look in the mirror, i almost cry because i see some one big. I never used to see that. It just started recently. I need to know if I should go get help, because I dont want to be disgustingly thin. I want to be skinny, but not anorexic. Can You Help Me?

It sounds as though you're not anorexic, but that you do need some help. Asking is the first step -- recognizing that you might have (or might be heading toward) a problem.

Thin is only good as far as it is healthy. Being too thin is no better than being too fat, and you need to recognize that in others and in yourself. At age 15, you're still growing and need to be sure to eat enough good, healthy foods so that your body can grow normally and you won't basically set the groundwork to be sick your whole life.

Check out this webpage. It has information -- and it has help.

I am 16 years lold and weigh around 120 lbs. Some people think I am too fat, some think I am too skinny. They just see me how they want to see me and I don't let it bother me. The way you look at yourself has a lot to do with the way other people look at you too. It doesn't matter how they want you to look, it just matters that you are healthy inside and out. And if you don't like looking in the mirror, smash the dang thing!! Best of luck girl!

As long as you are not trying to lose weight or quit eating then you are probably not anorexic but maybe headed that way since you body imagine is becoming distorted in your own mind. talk to someone before it gets worse at least you have started in the right direction by asking if you need help.

You as a 15 year old, surely, i don't think your anorexic. You may weigh only 112 pounds, but with you so young (or semi young), i don't think you could be. If your really worried, i suggest maybe seeing a therapist or talking to your parent or grandparents. If your extremely worried, maybe even see a doctor, they could help alot.

Girl, I'm 15 and I weigh 93 lbs! I wish I weighed 112. I have GERD (Gastroesophagal Reflux Disease) and I might have surgery done just because the heartburn is only getting worse and I'm losing more weight. you're lucky you're physically healthy. You are not anorexic, you're just self-consious*, but who isn't? Anorexia Nervosa is when they starve themselves because they feel the need to be thinner. Just be happy with who you are. I'm sure you're beautiful just the way you are.

You may be developing an eating disorder. Do you ever feel as though you're too fat to eat even though you're hungry? I'd see how long your symptoms last, and if in a month or so you still feel this way then its probably time to talk to someone. Stay safe and good luck =)

Ditch the modeling magazines and style network.

They don't define beauty, you should define it within yourself.

I hope it's not too late to ditch the modeling mags, as all they'll do is make you feel ugly and fat, even if you're not.

And as someone said, seeing a doctor wouldn't be the worst idea.

Yes, you might actually be developing an eating disorder. I would talk to your parents, doctor, or any adult about the issue as soon as possible. It's nothing serious yet but it could end up getting worse.

I don't know if this will help, but from what you have said I believe that you need to talk to a professional about this before it gets any worse.
