Actually there is a way to take the alcoholic content out. To do this you either have to burn it, i.e., flaming drinks burn off the alcohol and leave the taste, or cooking or boiling out, for instance mulled wine that has been allowed to slightly boil.

lighting a higher alcohal content drink will burn some of the alcohal away

Once you put it in you mean? No. But you can make 'virgin' drinks by just using the mixer. Virgin pina colada, virgin daiquari, virgin salty dog, virgin seabreeze.....all mixer and no kick.

inless your giving to kids or drinking right be for work why would you want to do that ???
