For one thing, you're being VERY irresponsible leaving medicine where the dog can get to it - Dogs are like kids and you need to keep medicine out of their reach!

Try closing your bedroom doors or putting up a child gate in the doorway that the dog can't get over.

Well, first of all, has he been doing this the whole time and you are just now getting concerned about stopping it? Or are these new behaviors?

If this is ongoing, then it is a training issue. Definitely confine the dog when he is not supervised. Have the vet do a regular check-up to make sure the behavior is not caused by anything medical. Then look into obedience training. Your vet can probably refer you to someone. Proper training is one of the most important responsibilities to dog ownership. It ensures a longer and happier (and safer) life for your pet.

If these problems are new at that age, has anything in the home changed recently? Changes in behavior can be a sign of medical issues so get a check up at the vet.

Good luck.

I understand, I had the same problem with a dog. You should try punishing the dog after peeing on the bed. Also try buying a crate when you go out so you can keep the dog in it.

Usually when you are gone you should crate the dog so he won't be so destrctive. Also goin to obedience classes would help. Or if you have the National Geopgraphic channel you could watch the Dog Whisperer with Cesar Milan. He gives very helpful tips on training dogs. My library even has videotapes of him so you could get them at a library if you don't have the National Geographic channel.

Not the dogs fault, this is your fault for not providing your dog with leadership.

Your dog is peeing on your beds because it is dominating you.

It id destroying things because you don't mentally stimulate it.

I reccomend books from Jan Fennell, a good one is called the 'Dog Listener' which covers Leadership.

Fido's company is definately NOT worth the cost of a new bedset every month. If you're not prepared to discipline the dog or are unable to devote the time that a pet requires, you really need to consider not having pets at all.
