"The Knig James bible is the correct version of the english written bible all others will lead you astray and you will get the wrong understanding from them." so when the original text talked about cattles why was the word translated into unicorns? Unicorns are meantioned more then 6 times, that isn't an actual reasonable translation... there are alot more bad translations, why don't you just learn greek/or hebrew or aramic and learn the actual text before saying that thats the only right translation, how the heck would you know, if you don't actually know the original text???

The King James Bible check it on biblegateway.com and search unicorn ... then search other bibles or actually look in original text language.

I read from the King James version Holy Bible but I totally agree with you. Just recently I've been doing some personal research because I want to make sure that what I am reading and believing is true. But it definitely brings up the question about is the English translation correct and exact from the original Hebrew text. By the way, would that be the Quran?

Where are you getting this from? Provide some literary resources please.
Thanks, I will give a reactory answer once I read...
Okay... I've read and researched...
King James agreed with the church to have the bible translated as long as he took the credit for it, but for some reason or another thought using words like oxen and cattle were beneath those who would read the bible at that time (courtsmen and various royalty). So he replaced those words with unicorn because he felt it would relate more to his class of people.
Please keep in mind that King James never invested a dime in having the bible translated and distributed. The church at the time paid for it. King James was known as a wild partier who (like most kings ) wanted credit for everything.
With the exception of the unicorn bit, the King James Bible is the closest translation to the Aramaic and Greek versions thus making it the most utilized bible in the english speaking world.
Also, it is in the bible nine times all in the Old Testament.

The King James Bible was non existent until 1611. If you look in the front of the KJB it says that it has been translated from the original tongues with former translations compared and revised. The best Bible is the one that is being constantly read, studied, and applied!

alot of people are stuck on the notion of the king james version.i feel the best version are catholic bibles, the translation that is best would depend on you. the kings james version and others do not have the seven books that luther decided to delete based on the decision of a jewish council in jamnia who didn't follow christianity. king james was a mental case and you could look at the history books regarding why.

I personally don't put stock into what is written above.
God tells us that his word would not come back void. (Isaiah). He protects his holy word.
There are many great translations out there and they are the word of God.
My fave is the New Century Version (NCV) and it is a translation. Another really good one is the New Living Translation (NLT). I enjoy reading and studying both.
My suggestion is to find one that is easy to read and understand and that will be the best one for you.

The message of the Bible is to make you see you are a sinner in need of Salvation. Why fuss about cattle? Salvation is CLEAR and precise; it's through Jesus ALONE!

King James was a lunatic, and unfortunately i have some strange ties to the idiot, In a past life he was a grandson. sometimes i wonder if Gods sense of humor is a bit too twisted.
