This isn't my usual cynical sarcasm at work here.
Seriously why? You make up 80% of America.
Christians are the largest religious denomination.
So how can the world be out to get you when you make up half the world? This is not an insult so don't flame me.

They have an unjustified persecution complex. They beleive they should rule the world and if they do not get their way, then they are persecuted.

Just look at christmas, it is pagan and God says do not follow pagan ways or even learn of them but Chriatians are so concerned with having their way that they get upset if people in stores say happy holidays instead of Merry Christmas. How warped is that? Again Jesus is not the reason for the season Yule and winter solstice is. Mithras is.

Great question! Jesus said it best: "I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world" (John 16:33, NLT).

So, Jesus warns His followers in advance of the "trials and sorrows" to come for following His testimony and His teachings. Other translations use the words "tribulation".

Sheer force of numbers does not guarantee good treatment, especially when you take into account that many true believers are mistreated by others who profess to share their faith in Christ. This makes the mistreatment all the more painful for the person receiving it.

Finally, beginning with the original church (for example, 11 of the original 12 disciples were martyred for their faith), believers in Christ have been and continue to be mistreated throughout the world (China, Cuba, Egypt, Middle East in general). If you are interested do a search for "Voice of the Martyrs" to get updated on the persecution of Christians throughout the world.

God bless you.

Christian nations of the world such as England Canada the USA and France and many other European nations were always blessed with prosperity in all that we have done and do.
(God has promised "My people will prosper in their land and not be afraid" ) Look at other none Christian nations how poor they all are and how they live in fear. We Christian nations were blessed and are blessed. Now our land is becoming more and more a non Christian nations with all the immigration of non Christian people, and the Bible being taking out of schools, every thing to with Christianity is being depleted from our nations faster then ever. This is what I think is an out right attack against our nations our faith, and our forefathers who were for the most part Christian. We are less then 60% . We used to be over 80%. This is what I am saying,We are being depleted from all sides to please the very ones we now call terrorist. It seems to me that everyone wants what we Christian nations have, if they can not have it, they hate us and kill us.
911 was an act against not only America but Christianity everywhere! But that seems to be ok to a lot of people.Yes in China Christians are being killed for their belief every day. It is a war indeed. Christians against the Dragon(Beast) and the false prophet.
Rev 19
19And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.
20And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

Perhaps early Christians were persecuted, and that is why the Bible tells them (if indeed there is such a passage) that they will face such trials. But in modern-day America, and Europe and the rest of the Western world, there is nothing... I repeat, NOTHING that even comes close to persecution for being a Christian. If you're being denied something like education, it's because you're black or poor, not because you're Christian. If you're denied the right to marry, it's because you're gay, not Christian. If you're denied the right to tell everyone else how to live their lives and what to worship, how to think and feel, it's because we live in a democracy... I repeat, a DEMOCRACY, where everyone should be represented and it is unfair, not to mention un-Christian, to deny the rights of minorities of any kind, including different denominations, religions, races, sexes, and sexual orientations. That's what America was really founded on, freedom to express ourselves by choosing to follow any valid religion, be it Christianity, of any variety, or to follow nothing at all. Sure, if you want to look at the rest of the world, there are certainly people being mistreated for believing in Jesus. But there are people being mistreated, if not killed in genocidal fashion, for being from the wrong tribe. Christians are not the only martyrs for a cause.

They like to think that this mistreatment is what Jesus said would happen. But it isn't.

The leaders of the Christian Coalition are not being hung on crosses (Philippians 2:8). The leaders of the Family Research Council are not being stoned to death (Acts 7:59). The leaders of Focus on the Family are not being thrown to the lions (Daniel 6:16).

All they have to worry about is someone calling them bad names and denying them their request for favoritism.

i have been fortunate enough to not have been mistreated. maybe there are some out there who are. just because we make up a large part of america doesn't mean that mistreatment isn't possible.

As a Christian, who has frequently been "mistreated", I see it as an honor to have trouble in this world. The bible says to be friend of the world is to be an enemy with God.

they like to play the role of victim when in actuality it's like you said they are the largest denomination and religion in the world and a little bit of paranoia as well

Their definition of "mistreated" is "not being allowed to instill our religious values wherever and whenever we want."

because we are. and if america was really 80% christians, this wouldn't be happening. Anything to do with Cristianity is considered offensive. look at this, a little boy was suspended from school because he handed out WWJD pencils. it is getting out of control and being a Christian is getting harder and harder
