Nothing is going to change in Iraq with the new Generals in charge. President Bush has said repeatedly that he will listen to the Generals in charge when making decisions about Iraq, he claims that he would never oppose what the Generals are saying. So when the Generals on the ground started saying that an increase in troops would not work and said they were against it, President Bush decides it's time to replace them. I'm betting these new Generals will support a troop increase and whatever plan President Bush presents. It will be mostly cosmetic and will not change the overall war at all.

No, if anything at all the situation in Iraq will be more undercontrol, and the generals are there to think of and put into motion the most effective and efficient plan possible. As in any command, officers are rotated out and given the opportunity to do that job. Iraq will change when its people does, and its going to take time. Look at America's history...

It will have to over time. One problem is you have three Muslim factions, they each hate each other and they each want to be in power and that has been their priority rather than governing themselves in peaceful fashion. Can you imagine in 1776 if say, Protestants, Catholics and Jews all wanting to have total power and killed each other in the scores to get? We would have never become a nation.
I respect anyone who is dissatisfied with the war but when in history has there been a good war. All wars have many deaths and unfortunately civilian deaths as well. Some battles in WWII had five to ten thousand deaths in a single battle but the media was censored by Roosevelt because he new the American people couldn't swallow numbers like that. But I try not to criticize it unless I have a better idea and I never listen to anyone who resorts to name calling. That's shows a lack of intelligence.
Good day to you!

It doesn't matter how many times the generals are shuffled or replaced, as long as there is no alternative strategy on the way the war is being fought, then do not expect for any change in the progress of the war.

this war was not designed to be won. If this admin had intentions of getting out, they would not build long term bases and airstrips, hangers! They want us there for decades, they have openly said this. They will eventualy break iraq into 3 parts. Everything was decided in the 90's by PNAC. And it has worked just like planned so far, it is like a play by play of real world events since the Neo-Cons took controll

No we dont have to make fool of ourselves out of believing this. Nothing gonna change that way. But yes in a way if US troops come back home... maybe that help to settle their issues themselves. Plus we love the precious lives of our Troops, they look good here with families, without risking their lives for achieving nothing.

No. Iraq will only get worse until the Americans leave.
