My mother is my hero too. I have 10 brothers and sisters which she raised all by her self. My dad was killed in a car accident when the youngest was a month old and mom was the bravest woman I have ever seen. She went to work as a cashier to keep us going. She died September 11, 2002 exactly a year after my sister died at the pentagon.

I don't have just one hero, I believe in Heroes and want to be one very much, I want to be someone who can really represent the meaning of Heroes.
My hero is everyone who ever though for the well-being of others or even himself, for fighting life with it's bad times with so much passion, like your mother who fought cancer and never gave up, everyone who represents that courage, that will to fight for others and for what he believes in, and their self-sacrificing courage, they are my Heroes.

That guy who saved that kid from the subway tracks the other day in New York is definitely a hero.

My stepfather is my hero. After my mother's death and my father's suicide, he took me into his home and raised me (and legally adopted me). He was a former school teacher of mine. He had no children of his own, and certainly didn't have to take me in, but he did. He has now passed on, and I miss him terribly. He was definitely my hero.
