Well, a few years back, i dreamed that I was inside a chamber with about 3 other people and the there was nothing but fire inside that chamber. The walls of the chamber were covered in slick oil and I couldn't climb out, though I was only and inch away from the surface. I saw the faces of agony of the other souls trapped there with me as they passed through the flame, and I tried desperately to get out, but i just kept sliding back down into the flames of the pit. After a while, a stone started sliding over the surface of the chamber I was trapped in very slowly. i screamed and clawed and the walls and tried to get out, but I kept falling back down. when the slab of stone had completely sealed the chamber, I knew I would never get out. I didn't feel the pain or sheer horror of hell itself, but I think I got the point.
It states very clearly in the bible that it isn't a state of mind, or just an eternal separation from God thought that is part of it. There are verses that describe it in detail.
And the devil who decieved them was was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet were thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
Revelations 20:10
Then, they will go away to "eternal punishment", but the righteous to eternal life.
Matthew 25:46
Hell and its destruction are never full, so the eyes of man are never satisfied.
Proverbs 27:20
And being in torments in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. “Then he cried and said, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.
Luke 16:23-24.

What I'm trying to say is, there really is a hell, and I can't deny it. Don't say you'll see me there, cuz you won't. I'm just trying to state the inconvenient truth.

hi,
Hell means the grave the bible says Jesus was in Hell for 3 days before he raised, god wouldn't leave his only begotton son in hell would he, there is no scriptural basis for Hell it is just the grave. Hell fire is a teaching that came from roman and Greek mythology that contaminated many religions.

Most Christians believe in Hell for the same reasons you do, because the Bible describes it as eternal torment. Some folks profess Christ but wont accept "hell" claiming it is just non existance or only temporary.... even though the Bible describes it much differently.
The inconvenient truth is, that God is Just... we get Just rewards and Just punishment. The only Just opposite of eternal peace, is eternal torment. Anything else is unjust. Those who dont believe in Hell, may have good intentions, they dont want to think anyone will spend eternity that way... I know I dont want anyone to spend eternity that way, but what I want and what the Bible says are different. For others, its just wishful thinking. They can think 'well, I cant lose really, non existance isnt scary and neither is eternal life" so they dont take their walk in Christ seriously.

Yes, I believe that hell will exist. But not now. First the believers will be ressurected to go to heaven when Jesus comes. Then there will be a period of 1,000 years. Then, there will be a second ressurection in which the people who were not saved get sent to hell.
Also, notice that Jesus refers to the opposite of eternal life as death. Perhaps people who go to hell will not live in torment forever, but will die there and be completely destroyed both body and soul. And only the devil, the beast, and the false prophet will be tortured forever and ever.

Yes I do believe there is. A good picture of the wars that have been fought on this beautiful planet are pretty eye opening. As long as God loves you and you love & respect His Commandments and His love are all you need. Read the Revelation but try the Modern English Version unless you have a great understanding of what is going to happen!

Hell is not a psychical place that's there right now. It will happen at the end of time after final judgement, a lake of fire will be prepared for the lost. When it says they will burn for eternity, that means they will be burnt once and for all. And it will be for eternity, another words its permanent. They wont burn for ever and ever, they will burn once, its permanent, and they will not exist ever again threw out eternity.
Hope this helps..........God Bless !

Thanks for writting this. I agree for the most part.
To me believing in something or someone is to trust and obey. I don't believe in hell, but I know there is a hell.
Death & hell isn't the Lake of Fire. No one is in the lake of fire yet. The first in there are the Beast & false prophet.
When Jesus described the rich man in hell, that wasn't the lake of fire (second death), that was hell.

I like your testimony. It sounds to me that God was trying to get your attention by giving you your own personal revelation. I pray you got the point and began following the ways of Christ. Hopefully, others will look at what God has done in your life and begin to accept Him.
BTW, I totally believe in hell and know that those who don't accept Christ will be there, no matter how nice and good they were in this life.

Absolutely, all people should believe there is a hell to shun and a heaven to inherit.. I feel sorry for those that don't ,someday they will experience the same as you did in your dream but for real, the pain and the suffering..
That must have been a real nightmare..

Only the misguided ones who doubt God's love and mercy. Jesus never threatened us with hell, because it doesn't exist, except here on Earth where it is man-made.
