Genesis mentioned that Adam lived 800 years. It is also mentioned that Adam and Eve had "other sons and daughters" (5:4) even though Cain, Abel, and Seth were the most well-known. The Bible also states that Cain "knew" his wife. So, more than likely he married a sister. The Bible condemns relationships between parents and children; However it says nothing about relationships between children and children. Also note that Adam and Eve's begotten were "pristine". Therefore, inter-family offspring would not have been riddled with the genetic/health complications of today.

Adam and Eve were NOT actual historical people. The story is a myth. the name "Adam" means earth creature and "Eve" means living. So in the Adam and Eve story, they writers are talking about "living humans," rather than a man named Adam and a woman named Eve. in the story they have children to show that it is a story of growing up.

the accounts of eve giving birth to cain, able, and seth are only to establish the stories that they are involved in (which lead to the entirety of the history of the Jewish nation.

God clearly commanded Adam and Eve to procreate. They lived for almost 1000 years, and so they would have had many many children. Their DNA was perfect, and so the children would have intermarried at the time.

INCEST. The Bible was pretty specific on who was created... Adam, Eve, sons.... no other women with which they could procreate. Seems like it'd be a crucial detail... seems like it'd cause an awful lot of unnecessary confusion to leave a thing like that out.

Adam and Eve are plural nouns which means men and women not man and woman. The story of Adam and Eve is a MYTH. It is a story of spiritual development, not physical.

As is common in Holy writ, women are rarely mentioned. When they are it is because of some really, really MAJOR contribution to the faith. While you would think furthering the species would be enough, it didn't seem to be. Perhaps they are mentioned, but due to revisions and translation errors and such, we have lost that part of scripture.

there was life before Adam and eve, there was earth before Adam and eve, there were plants and animals before Adam and eve.
we should not take words of gods as such or literally. the words of gods always got wisdom and most of time these references or stories are metaphors.
Adam and eve was the first "blessed couple" before them there were lot of humans existed on earth. yes they were first holy couple whom god selected. Adam was first human being with whom god talked and choose as its first prophet. he was not the first human being. it is logical to believe on it.
if you believes that Adam was first prophet of god, then prophets appears in masses, in order to fix their faults and in order to guide them in better way. is any logic that a prophet has only one human to serve and who also happens to his wife i.e eve ?
i believe that Adam and eve was the first selected pair from god, and Adam was first true messenger of god. not the first human being.

so they procreate with other humans.

i hope this short explanation will help you in start thinking in right direction.

Cain and Abel were not married prior to one killing the other.

Seth took a wife from the people of the "Land of Nod"... so they were NOT the first kids on the block.....

Cain also took a wife from the same people after he was tossed out of the area.....
