What are people liking these days with so many up and coming neighborhoods, restaurants, markets, etc. what are your choices or are you sticking with some tried and trues for entertainment, events and activities?

1. Patsy's for the best Italian dining experience!
2. One if by land, Two if by sea- great food, very romantic-contemporary
3. Spark's or Smith and Wollensky- the top in steak and seafood
4. Daniel or Le Bernadin- terrific French quisine- very romantic but expensive
5. Rosa Mexicana- great mexican food!
6. The Sea Grill or The Ocean Club for fish and seafood
7. Angelos in Little Italy- very good Italian quisine
8. Savoy or Gramercy Tavern- contemporary and romantic
9. P.J. Clark's on 3rd Avenue- contemporary, casual, very good food, moderately priced, has an oyster bar, and sports figures and celebrities frequent this restaurant after the games are over at night.
10. Joe Allen's- contemporary-make your reservations for a table in the bar after the plays let out around 10-10:30 p.m. this where the entrance/exit door is located. celebrities frequent this restaurant late!
11. Elaines- late night- celebrities frequent this restaurant
12. Orso- Italian- celebrites including television celebrities frequent this restaurant
13. Serenediptiy's for dessert
14. go to Ferrara's and the other Italian bakeries located in Little Italy
15. take a carriage ride around Central Park
16. visit ST. Patrick's Cathedral
17. have lunch at Tavern on the Green in The Crystal Room
18. take a baseball game in during the summer at Yankee Stadium
19. have a few drinks at Chelsea Place (between 17th and 18th street) around 9:00 p.m. or after. good music and lots of people. small place so it will be crowded!
20. window shop down 5th Avenue
21. visit jewlery row
22. take a cab ride through the bowery
23. eat at The River Cafe for very romantic dining- contemporary-expensive
24. Bouley is another great French restaurant
25. Pietro's, Giambelli's and IL Malino's Italian restaurants are very good
26. visit Ground Zero
27. visit The United Nations
28. eat a hot dog at Papaya Palace
29. eat pizza at Famous Ray's
30. Katz Deli is a must!!!!!!!!!!
31. Sarge's is a great deli as well!
32. get tickets to a Regis and Kelly or the David Letterman Show
33. have a drink in The Shery Netherlands Piano Bar

sticking with tried and true...Carmines on 91st and broadway is amazing! Family style,classic italian food...so goood that they offer mouthwash dispensers in the bathroom! Gotta love garlic,baby!
