Hey Regina,

Never give up! If you decide for some good reason you don't want to do it, then ok. Otherwise, keep the hope alive. Have you registered with the adoption registry where the adoption occured?

Do you have any clues? The last name of the adoptive family? County, State, City.

You see, if your Son ever wants to meet you, then you will have to have given permission for him to contact you.

Look up your State Adoption laws, see if you are a sealed adoption or open. If open, then you can get records from the Vital Record keeper in the municipality where the adoption occured.

Here are some general sites, you could get more if you put the State, or Province. But, you can find these things too.

i know how you feel, i am desperate to find my brother who was adopted in 1973

i have decided to go through an agency

they will find him and ask him if he wants contact

i recommend this to you too as it will stop you worrying and looking, if he does not want contact at least you have tried

Good Luck with everything.
