Just started to date a man who sleep walks and has since childhood, he walks around and does various household activities before laying down on couch or bed. I've googled it but was curious about other people's experiences.

If there is a concern about his safety, or if he wants to get some treatment, he might consider a Sleep Clinic. There he can be observed, diagnosed and treated. Good luck.

There was a guy on Bob and Tom who had a severe problem and had to sleep in a sleeping bag with mittens on so he couldn't get out in the middle of the night. He went through therapy for a while and is much better now, no more sleeping bag.

What you could do is, make traps! For example put strings around or side of his bed that way when he stands up and falls (he would probably wake up that way). If you don't want to hur him then, I'm not sure because I can't give advice that does not have to do with making traps because I'm a Pre teen trouble maker gurl! But I have a good heart!

Thumb tacks! That is not the way to take care of it. Get a CD with ocean wave sounds and play this till he falls asleep. He will sleep all night, make sure he goes pee before he goes to bed.
