God does not think it's wrong to eat shrimp. It's unhealthy cause they collect all them nasty things in the sea by eating plankton. But if you'd read the Bible you'd know that God said to Peter
"Do not call anything impure that God has made clean."
Read Acts 11.

After the flood, God told Noah that all living things were OK for food.
When Moses penned the Torah, God said don't eat seafood unless it has fins and scales.
For years I didn't eat shellfish because I thought the Torah dietary laws were for everybody. I don't think so anymore.
Japenese people have the longest lifespans of any other people and pork and shellfish consitute a large percentage of their diet.
I think the dietary laws were for Jews living in the land of promise.
I still don't eat the foods prohibited in the Torah because I'm Jewish. If I weren't I would eat them.

Why in the world would you say that god is against eating shrimp? I am a little perplexed by your comment.

Good for you, more shrimp for me!
Shrimp are tasty, and I really couldn't care less whether you think God approves of what you eat. Don't be silly.
My wife hates mustard, but she doesn't try to find scripture to back it up.

Isnt it equally disgusting to eat many of the other foods humans do?? I mean think of veal, do you even have a clue how its made?
Excerpt from Wikipedia...
There are 3 kinds of veal
"bob" veal, from calves that are slaughtered when only a few days old
formula-fed (or "milk-fed") veal, from calves that are raised in confinement on a solely liquid diet
non-formula-fed (or "red") veal, from calves that are raised on grain, hay or other solid food in addition to milk.
Veal is essentially a by-product of dairy farming. Dairy cows must regularly produce calves in order to continue to produce milk. The result is that more female calves are born than can be raised into dairy cows; bull calves have no commercial use except as veal.
While all veal production is contentious, the humane movement is most concerned with formula-fed calves. These are traditionally raised in crates that restrict physical movement in order to minimize the growth of tough muscle fiber and to keep the flesh white and tender. The finest veal meat comes from unweaned calves. Formula-fed veal farming is universally condemned by animal rights activists and others concerned with animal welfare. It is frequently cited as one of the worst examples of large-scale industrial animal farming and is banned in the United Kingdom.
What about poultry farms and cattle, pig farms that torture the animal before during and after slaughtering them, not to mention the hormones, antibiotics and other drugs they are injected with....
What does god say about that?? dont you think that compared to shrimp which are small crustaceans, harvested from the wild without being tortured, abuse or drugged first are much better to eat than baby cow, or commercially grown animals which are treated inhumanely and often tortured before we eat them?? To say shrimp are disgusting and shouldnt be eaten based on "gods word" is quite idiotic when there are foods out there that are obtained by torturing animals first...

Eating shrimp is only forbidden to Jews. All others are allowed to eat "maggots of the deep." Jews have never imposed their laws on anyone else.
