I have no problem with being called a chick by a guy as long as it's not in a demeaning way. I have guy friends who will call me a chick but its more in a flirty way.
I think some people are too sensitive about being called chick or other nicknames for girls.

I call girls chicks and guys dudes and if I have a decent realtionship with the person then neither minds. I don't mind being called a chick as long as I know the person.

I think it depend on the situation and term. If the guy call a cute Oriental girl that, he better end his k clearly and with a short sound. I heard some nasty guys called the girls they score with that way. However, I call a lot of my close friends that sometime. I think it a cute and sweet way to say hi to your closest friends. These are the people you don’t want to call them “Chick”; Old women, Old men, your enemies, boys and someone you don’t know of or the one you couldn’t fix it out. The other wise, it ok to call a girl you know, and if she don't mind you call her that.

No, I prefer to be called a "woman." That's the word that commands the most respect. "Chick" commands nothing but sex.

nah. id be a hypocrite if it did. i call girls "chicks" and guys "dudes" all the time. in fact, i think that is a pretty normal reference for them nowadays
