You could have an infection under the tooth, which would definitely require you to go see a dentist. You might even be having wisdom teeth problems in which you will probably have to have them removed. Your wisdom teeth will often be painful when coming in. They however are not good teeth, they are soft and decay fast. Most people have these teeth pulled. See a dentist as soon as possible, like I said it could be an infection.

Sounds like your wisdom teeth are coming in, I would reccomend seeing your dentist, because its probably time to get them removed before your teeth start moving. Try taking some Extra strength tylenol in the mean time.

If they are actively nursing, it does not hurt. If they start to 'play' at the breast or bite, you can teach them that they will not get to continue nursing if they do it. I nursed my first for 18 months - he started getting teeth at 6 months and I never had a problem with the teeth unless I let him stay there after he was done really eating. Needless to say, you learn real fast not to let them hang around when they're done really eating. LOL. Try not to worry, it's not as scary as it seems.
