your best bet is to see a physical therapist that specializes in sports medicine treatment.
Ankle injuries are notorious for ending a dancer's career. Before you do yourself anymore injury, stop dancing and seek out a professional's help.

Breaks cause a lot more damage to you than sprains.

A broken ankle is also sprained along with the break, they just call it broken for the fact there are bones broken.

It does take longer...and some people can even develop arthritis in the bones they break, no matter what age.

Consult a sports medicine doctor and see what they have to say if it's that troublesome.

I had same experience few time when I sprained on my left ankle. It taking time to become better. Now my ankle is fine. I think you need to wear something to support your ankle, put ice on ankle and wear a gym shoes for awhile. I think you should go to see physical therapy.
