An 8 week old puppy, is way too young to be left anywhere alone, without constant supervision, even for 15 minutes. You need to go outside with her, and watch her, because she could get into something that can hurt her. As far as the leash goes, she is probably scared. You have to remember when you take her outside, that everything she sees and hears, is all new to her, and she's probably, really confused. Puppies don't automatically know what to do. They have to be trained and learn how to do things, just like you have to teach a human baby. It's going to take a while for her to adjust to everything. It's all new to her. Just take it slow, and teach her, a little at a time. Training requires alot of time, patience, praise, and alot of love. She is most likely barking, because she doesn't want to be left alone. You also have to remember , that she was taken away from her mom and her siblings, and really misses them and wonders where they are. Just give it some time!

Watch her more closely,, sniffing around when she is about to pee. When she's gonna go, take her outside. Stay with her. She's a puppy and is afraid. Give her a treat if she goes or not. Put newspaper where she pees. She'll try to pee there again. When she does, put the newspaper outside and go outside with her. Begin to move the newspaper closer to the door each time. Reward her if she pees outside. Dogs don't understand punishment. They just get scared. Dont' drag a puppy on a leash. She doesn't understand. Leash training takes time. There are probably a lot of dog training sites on the net. Do some research.

I'm no expert, but I would take another puppy pad with you when you go outside and lay it down in the grass. If he goes and pees on it, reward him with a treat. He will see that going outside gets him a treat, while going inside doesn't get him anything. Take it slowly though. You don't want to frustrate him. When it comes to leashes, I would probably get a harness for a dog so little. They fit them better. He like those much more than that strong lead. Good Luck

Go outside with her - The only reason she's barking is because she doesn't want to be out there alone! The world is a big place for a 8 week old to be alone!
Yes, she'll get used to the leash - Just give it some time!

Sure -
But I suggest you help her out with treats to begin with.
I also think you need to see how the dog walks without a leash in the back garden and home to begin with.
You need to establish that you are the dominant pack leader so that the problems don't esculate.

Wow...have you ever had a puppy before?
They are just babies...she doesn't know what is going on...cut her some slack...be patient with her...love her and be nice...and PLEASE don't drag her on a leash!
She will get use to being on a leash...and it doesn't do much good to put her outside AFTER she has already done her business in the house.

okay if your dog does that barking all day than you should not put it outside, your dog must be a inside dog, and the problem about the pooping in the house you should buy a cage thats about the right size for the dog and evey time the dog does it than you shoud put or her in the cage...

What about the old put the puppies nose in it technique and then put her outside.
Sounds harsh..but they have to be conditioned so they associate the behavior with the consequence.
No one wants their face in it.
If you go out there with her you might create a dependency that will last a life time.
As for the leash.. that will take time for your puppy to get used to it.
