Nope. If you're looking for a Biblical answer... you won't find "masturbation" in the Bible anywhere. You'll find "sexual immorality", but who's to say that masturbation is sexually immoral? Who's the authority on that?
Besides, like my fellow answerer so aptly stated... sin exists in the minds of men. It is a made-up concept. No one actually sins. People just call certain behaviors "sinful" because it's a religious label and they are religiously minded.
And no, it's not wrong. It's natural to explore ones own body. It's actually healthy. Don't be ashamed. No one should be.

No, I don't think so. If you want to argue "the sin of Onan", there was more involved than just masturbation. There was his reason for masturbation. I think the reason is the important thing, not the act. People don't seem to "get" that. The sin was actually in that Onan disobeyed God. He denied his brother offspring under levirate law.

I'm really not sure. But imagine this, would you do that in front of God's presence? Do you feel awkward just by asking this question? If so, then maybe it is a sin.

Sins don't exist. The theory of god, religion, and sins are all fabrications. So...masterbation isn't a concept that does exist, it's just a fun way to pass the time.

Why is it that these type of questions keep getting on here????
If you really want to know if something is a sin, why don't you ask your pastor/priest/whatever????

Yes. It's loving sex more than God. And loving anything more than God is a sin. If you don't love sex more than God then why are you masturbating? Praise be to God! Not ur penis.

well consider this, even Jesus had sperm and semen, therefore even he had wet dreams... it is also possible that he touched himself inappropriately when he was asleep... nowhere in the bible does it say masturbating is a sin... the closest reference to it actually refers to the fact that the guy puposely didn't get his dead brother's wife pregnant, and THAT was the sin. Sorry everyone, but even jesus had a penis. and physiology tells us that sometimes men get aroused for no good reason... so yup... jesus had morning wood... and wet dreams... it has to be...

According to the bible it is but the bible was written several hundred years after anything had been said or done. Plus if its a sin what about wet dreams? are they a sin? they are uncontrollable.
