Not completely, but they do see far fewer colors than humans do. Imagine someone who is red-green AND blue-orange colorblind. Yes, there's still some variation in the hues they see, but not like a normal person's. A dog's eyes are like that. They are also more sensitive to light (though not quite like a cat) and movement than we are. Color isn't as useful to a predator as light and movement. And dogs are predators at their core.

Sort of but you can't call it color blind because that's whats normal for them. There sight is still very good even if they can only see in minimal colors. Check out the web site.

Yes, sort of. "Color blind" in the clinical sense usually refers to a condition in which the brain misinterprets colors. Dogs don't see color at all... but their peripheral vision is better than a human's.

Yes, but like humans they are not absolute black/white world. there are few humans that are black/white only color blind though people do not educate themselves to learn that color blindness refers to not seeing or differentiating a certain color or colors...again very few humans have the absolutel full color blindness of only seeing black and white.

I have heard many different storiesabout a dogs sight and I don't know what to believe. My own oppinion about a dog's sight is that if you say dogs see in color your high on life. If you say they see in black and white you are down in the dumps. It's kinda like saying if the glass is half full or half empty.
