My skin is pretty clear, but every once in awhile I get a zit, and I have large pores on my nose and chin. Can I still use Proactive or is that strictly for people with major acne problems?

You can use it. They'll sell it to anybody and it won't do any harm. I used it for a while. It's not worth the money. You know what works really well for spot treatment? Toothpaste, believe it or not.

You can use Proactive, even though you don't have bad acne problems. Proactive can also prevent acne to become bad. Be careful with proactive if you have sensitive skin, I've heard that it can get harsh, but I have very sensitive skin. If you use a mask of some kind you might be able to make your pores a little smaller if you wash you face with warm water than apply the mask until it dries and is hard to the point that you can still move your face :) Then wash off with colder water, soyour pores close back up, but you might have a few zits in that area after you do it because the mask will bring all the dirt and oils from your pores to the surface. Hope that helps.

My skin is pretty clear but I sometimes get a zit or two once in a while. Since I started using Proactive, I haven't been getting pimples for months. If I do, it isn't as bad when I wasn't using it. I believe Proactive prevents the zits form breaking out. I know how tiresome the whole regimen could be, but it is worth it. Clearing your face off make-up each night & washing with an anti-bacterial soap helps alot. That, & of course, eating more vegetables & fruits & getting as much sleep as you can with a healthy lifestyle can do wonders for the skin better than Proactive!

You definitely can use it, but I wouldn't. I had typical adolescent breakouts so I started using Proactiv in highschool and it really worked and I had very, very clear skin but your skin gets really dependent on Proactiv so I stopped using it after my junior year of college and I don't have breakouts anymore and my skin feels great. I wouldn't use it just for the occasional zit, but if you think that your skin really can benefit from a system like Proactiv, definitely give a try! Warning - your skin will get worse before it gets better with Proactiv so it will take at least a month to get the full effect of the system.

I wouldn't recremend it, because it's for people with more acne than you currentlly do. It'll dry out your skin too much. Use Clean & Clear Advatage Spot Treatment or the Concealing Stick, those are for the indivual zits. Wait to use Proactive later on in the acne stage.

Be careful. If you don't have a major skin problem its best to use a more gentle method to clear up a blemish. The more you irritate your skin the worse its going to look and Proactive and other over the counter remedies (including toothpaste) will do just that. Your best bet would be to keep your face clean with a non-abrasive cleanser and expose yourself to a healthy amount of sunshine.

Yeah you can but why would you want too? Benzoyl peroxide is not exactly easy on your skin.
I think you would be smarter to just use a good cleansing system that contains a mask to help cleanse your pores and shrink them.
I would highly recommend Arbonne's "Intelligence" 5 step system. All of their products are botanically based and deliver pure, beneficial mineral and vitamins to your skin.
The system includes:
1. wash
2. Thermal fusion mask ( exfoiliates, firms, and rejuvenates skin by bringing blood circulation to surface level of skin)
3. toner
4. eye cream
5. Moisturizer.
I have a sample pack if you're interested. I think it's smart to try before you buy.
My daughter, who's 21, just switched from proactive to ARbonne. Her face is now acne free and feels moist and fresh.
Lemme know if you want to try it.

I did that and it made me break out. It really dried out my skin and made it red and irritated. I know it works on a lot of people, but for those of us blessed with generally clear skin, I'd stay away.
