Oil floats on top of water, and they don't mix. When someone tells you that, they probably mean that you are too different to get along for very long.

Try to mix oil and water together.
No matter how you shake them up they will always seperate out with oil being on top and the water going to the bottom.
Basicly it mean you won't be able to mix or blend because you're different.

oil and water do not mix the oil will always rise to the top of the water which means that you will never truly get along with whom ever it is that said that. good luck =)

it means dat never meant to be dissolved in each other! when u mix oil wid water iol remains undissolved and stay on tha surface of water! these 2 never mix up! maybe who said it mans dat u and i can never mix into each other or cant move forward due 2 different qualities!

you dont mix because water is a polar substance and oil is a nonpolar substance, meaning they repel eachother. remember, like dissolves like.
