Well actually you can create really nice soft curls with a straightening iron, but it needs to be one of the thin ones.
You need to work quickly so your hair doesnt overheat, and just wrap it around as if it were a curling iron. Work in sections from underneath, up to the top, and dont hold it too close to your scalp or you'll get little 'bends'.

Um... personally I like curled hair better on me more than straight, and I've noticed it usually looks better on other people, too. I would go with a straightener, but a small one so you can curl it with the straightener. What I'd do would be ask one person for a curler and one person for a straightener.

You can't. If you have a very narrow straightener you could open it and wrap sections around one side before holding it close. That would give you more of a "crimped" look though. Walmart has a spiral curler that my friend just bought the other day for only $15.00. I would say the time and aggravation is worth it.

What you do is when you use the straightener, twist it instead of just pulling it straight out of your hair.I do it all the time and people love it.Oh if you know anybody on here who wants to know how to curl their hair like Miley Cyrus, tell them after they take a shower, put gel in your hair and scrunch it,then let your hair dry,and don't touch it untill after 5 hours or if you take a shower at night don't touch your hair until the next day.

Can you not use them like curlers and wrap the hair round them? I have thought about trying this before but never did. The heat should have the same effect.
