1.1 billion living Catholics believe that Catholicism is not a false religion.

They also believe that they are "saved."

Here is the joint declaration of justification by Catholics (1999), Lutherans (1999), and Methodists (2006):

By grace alone, in faith in Christ's saving work and not because of any merit on our part, we are accepted by God and receive the Holy Spirit, who renews our hearts while equipping us and calling us to good works.

With love in Christ.

Catholicism is not a false religion!
Catholics are saved if they obey the laws of God.

There are aspects of Catholicism that are orthodox and in accordance with the truth of the Gospel. I believe there are also aspects of Catholicism that hinder a person from coming into a saving knowledge of God. Chief among these are that a human mediator is needed to intervene between God and the sinner. I was a Catholic for many years and never came into a saving knowledge of God. Then one day when I was very far from God, He spoke directly into my heart saying "Maybe Jesus really did die for your sins" With those words I was converted and became a new man inside. I was born again, even though I did not at that time know such a thing was possible.
I am grateful that Catholicism gave me a right concept of Jesus Christ - His divinity, His sacrificial death and resurrection, all of which are necessary for saving faith; but they left me with the impression that it would be my good deeds and participation in the sacraments that would save me - not simple heart faith in Christ.
That being said, I have met genuine born-again Catholics who love the Lord Jesus as much as anyone else I know, but for the life of me, I don't know how they reconcile the teachings of their Church with the teachings of Jesus Christ and the word of God. I leave that to them and their God. (Romans 14:4)

Not sure what you mean by false religion. People are going to believe what they believe. Catholics believe in God, Jesus as our Savior and Mary was his mother. The rituals are not paganism. The practices of the Catholic Church were taught to people and used some of the holidays and traditions as examples to help pagans understand and convert. Once they converted they celebrated Catholic holidays on the days they were familar with. For example, Christmas is to celebrate our lord's birth. However the actual birth date is unknown and Christmas is celebrated when the pagans celebrate the winter solace or celebration. To get into heaven in the Catholic faith you should receive the holy sacraments (baptism, holy eucharist, confirmation, matrimony, holy oders and confession) and ask for forgiveness (clean soul). The acts of kindness are ways to remind us of the acts that Jesus performed with his works. People miscontrud what the Catholic Church teachs and as a result critize it. BTW Protestants get their roots from the Catholic Church. One thing I have notice is that Protestants adhere to the bible too much and don't get the meaning of what is being said. The bible is man's interpretation. I think all religions are good because who are we to say who is right and who is wrong. There is a commonality in all of them. I think people have the right idea but get things mixed up because of their interpretations

I believe that Catholism is a false religion based on man's perceptions.
You become saved when you weigh the subject and decide for yourself that you want to be saved and you ask Jesus to save you.
God is not going to deny a baby into heaven because it wasn't baptisted. And Mary isn't going to help you into heaven if you sin and then look for absolution in confession and then go back and sin some more. You cannot ask for forgiveness and get from simply reciting Hail Marys. You ask for forgiveness from God and you learn from your sins and with the help from other followers you stay away from the pitfalls of sinning again. It's a growing learning process that takes a lifetime and you will never finish.
Absolution is derived from guilt and is human not Godly in nature.

Salvation is a procedure, not a one-time truth derived from "once saved, continuously saved." also, Catholicism isn't a pretend faith, as evidenced through historic past. all and sundry who bothers to study the early Fathers will see that. God bless.

Srprimeaux says it very well. Yes Roman Catholicism is false. Many of its doctrines are actually rooted in Paganism. I will not go into detail because there is too much.

I am sure some are but not all the same as not all who say they are christian know do not know Jesus, there is still a big question over once saved always saved and being born again, accepting Jesus died for your sins is not the same as giving your life to him. he said you must be born again..
