In my early years, 12 to 30 years old, I was an extreme atheist. I read the Bible, the Qur'an, the teachings of Buddha, etc. etc. to prove His non-existence. I became "god" in my thoughts and actions until 6 days before my 36th birthday. I found myself in a self inflicted hell. He called to me, I went to Him and now I know there is a God and I am not Him. This is Not a God of any one religion. He is our Creator. I am now 58 and Love the Life He has given me. Do you have a similar experience or do you just want to keep disproving His existence?

You weren't an atheist then. Real atheists don't care about having anything having to do with god or religion. Don't care about proving or disproving anything.

I know it (god) doesn't exist so why would I waste my time trying to prove anything? I see it as the burden of a believer to prove their claim, which they can't. Personally I have a very full, rich, and rewarding life without falling upon the crutch of any religion and/or god.

I don't. One can't prove a negative. One can point out the inconsistencies and lack of evidence however.

If there is any proof FOR that existence, you'd think someone would have provided it in the last few thousand years.

As it is, belief in your god is no more believable than a belief in the Roman pantheon.

1. Something bad happens to me.
2. Therefore, God now exists.

Pardon me for being a little cynical.

I don't feel it necessary to "disprove" something. (You can't prove a negative.)
1. God disproves himself.
2. I feel it necessary for YOU, the believer, who insists that I am below you because I do not share in your superstition, to prove that your God exists.

Nobody here has ever tried to disprove the existance of God. In fact, most atheists keep asking for you to prove His existance, which you can't, or won't.

EDIT: I think the problem lies in thefact that when people say they don't believe in God, you automatically assume they are trying to prove He doesn't exist. In fact, they are just asking for real proof, which we haven't gotten in thousands of year.

Argument from personal experience. Not sure why you people always think others will buy into that one. I do know other people like you though, with no direction and that would be absolute losers without their religions. I have always felt the weak minded need it. Good luck with that, but don't try to make others live with it and you and I will be cool.

Funny how many start believing when they are "down in the dumps" or in "danger for their lives"...
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Hope it really counts when only used during times of stress

Believe in him when you are at your happiest. Thank God for your Pleasure as well as asking for help during your pain... Only then are you truly saved..

I'd like to know the answer to that, myself. Why can't they just leave it alone? Why does it make them so mad? And why do they hate Christians so much, did we shoot their dog or something? Maybe they're just trying to convince themselves God isn't real because if they admitted that He exists they'd have to make a decision to change their ways & they don't want to do that.

LOL

you became god in your thoughts and actions?

How disgusting and stupid. You were never an atheist - real atheists are more moral than theists - and yes, that can be proved.

If you really did convert to christianity you've sold out to ignorance and superstition. i pity you.

I am personally Catholic and 27. The Catholic church doctrine of justification and the mystery of the church are similar to your belief.
