There are very few French-speaking cities. Montreal is perhaps 60/40 (french/english). Quebec city is more like 90/10. All the smaller cities in Quebec are almost entirely french, but in every other province in Canada, you won't find more than a handful of french speaking Canadians (true francophones, anyway, lots of Canadians speak french as a second language).

Actually, Curmudgeon is only partly right.
I live up in northern Alberta, and there is a very large French population up here. I'm not sure why. Also, New Brunswick is the only "official" bilingual province, so there are a lot of french speakers there, too.

well, english and french is spoken all around the country. so provinces/cities not so much as others.
for english: 10 random cities in BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan or Manitoba
for French: 10 random cities in north quebec.
for both: montreal, ottawa, and probably quebec city.
french: montreal is the second largest french speaking city after paris...others...quebec city,Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts, L’Île d’Orléans, i dunno...find the rest urself!
english: vancouver, winnipeg, toronto, medicine hat, moosejaw, Timmins, churchill, victoria, halifax, st.johns.
