He was treated for heartworms and was doing great, but monday he was really sick and we took him to the vet and they tried thier best but they said he was suffering so we had to put him to sleep yesterday. I feel very sad, but he was loved very much and I told him so every day.

I want to say, I am sorry for your lose, we have now lost 3 dogs in 37 years. Age varies. under 20 pounds at 11 years = 60
20-50 pounds = 65 50-90 pounds = 77 Over 90 pounds = 86. Information from dog age compared to human age on the Internet. Hope this will help.

The seven year rule is not actually all that correct. In the first year a dog (large dog) will grow what it would take a human 14 years to grow and it's more like 7 years in the second year. After that it slows down as the dog matures. Sorry to hear about your loss, I'm sure he loved you just as much. Keep him in your heart and you'll never forget him... All the best.

1 year to a human is 7 years to a dog so he would be 77 years old which isn't a bad age .
Sorry for your loss but.

First of all, I'm really sorry fot your loss. For every human year, multiply by seven to get the dog year. So, if your dog was 11 years old in human years, he was 77 in dog years.

They say that smaller dogs age different than the larger breed. Usually the smaller ones are considered every 1 X5 and then the larger ones are 1X7. At least that what my vet has on her wall chart. Sorry for your loss. It's hard when they have been with you for so long.

you mean how old was he in dog years he was 11 in human years that means in dog years he was 77 (about 2 human months is a dog year so you just take the amount of years old he was in human in years and multiply it by7 so he is about 77)
