Can you list some examples of how immigration takes away from the U.S./How it damages the U.S.?

Like for example: some people believe that immigration takes away from our economy.

Do a google search on San Diego County, California.....several years the county government went bankrupt because of the cost of providing services to illegal immigrants.
Check the recent headlines....about the involvement in criminal activity by illegal immigrants.
My daughter is a physician and tells me that now the illegals will go to an emergency room complaining of chest pains (to be fast tracked in the patient line up) but when they see the doctor the chief complaint is a sore throat or belly ache. This needlessly ties up resources for genuine emergencies.

We really don't need more laws just serious enforcement of the ones already on the books.

We do not need more laws we need better up to date laws that suit the economy and work environment needs of today not that of some historical immigration system that passed away as to needs long ago. Long ago we needed well educated people because we did not have the educational systems that established countries have. Today that is not the case because the last thing our educated people need is competition when their jobs have been cut often in the last few economically demanding years.

We don't necessarily need more, but better and different laws. The ones currently in place are a broken system. Our economy depends on a cheap migrant labor force filled largely by undocumented workers. Have you seen the movie "Day without a Mexican?"

Wo DON'T need more laws, we just need our current laws ENFORCED!!!!!
1 ILLEGALS abuse our welfare system, taking benefits that RIGHTFULLY belongs to OUR poor people!!!

2 Illegals abuse our MEDICAL system!!! This causes OUR hospital costs, insurance rates, ambulance costs, etc to INCREASE to offset the MILLIONS of dollars lost on the deadbeat ILLEGALs who never pay their bills!!

3 OUR tax dollars go to provide ESL classes (teachers, spanish speaking aides, and literature in spanish). THOSE tax dollars SHOULD HAVE been spent on OUR kids!!!

4 ILLEGALS carry many deadly diseases that they expose US to!!! When they SNEAK into the country, there is no way to check them for communicable diseases!! Why do you think there has been such a huge INCREASE in diseases that we had eradicated here in the U.S.????? Some of these third-world diseases, we have NO cure for.and they are DEADLY!!!!

Yes, of course it takes away from the economy. It lowers significantly for true citizens when employers unlawfully hire illegal aliens. It is a blow to the middle and lower classes of America.

Making more laws won't solve the problem, as we cannot (or choose not to) enforce the one's we've got.

The chief complaint is the additional cost on public systems such as education and medical.

But- there are a lot of benefits that americans receive from illegal workers as well.

(oh- you never did say 'illegal' did you?)

is the other way around, with our expanding economy we need immigrants to fill the jobs we can't otherwise get filled. We need immigration in order to grow at the pace we are growing.
