Does anyone here know what a hypothetical situation is? or are they too busy nitpicking the details of my question?

I love reading the Christian answers to this question. Anyway, as a former Catholic converted to Buddhism, I'll try to answer as best I can. If Jesus followed the path of Lucifer and rebelled against God, all that proves is that the Jews are right in thinking that Jesus Christ is not the Messiah. All the world's Christians would still be Jewish.

Alrighty then.

Hypothetically speaking.

You asked your question wrong, but I will utilize my own interpretation.

This is what I come up with:
IF Jesus went against His father after he was born and all that sort of thing, we would not be here.

Whatif.

Bad thing.

If what if happened it would have been something other than what it was, which we can only ponder but never truly venture to guess at.

I do know that it happened as it did and we are here today because of it.

God is not a tyrant.

He has to be God.

There has to be one God the father.

There has to be one Jesus the son.

There has to be one spirit.

It just is.

Kinda a moot question not worth debate.

Our smallness is enough to put us in check there.

We can't fathom such things.

It's beyond words.

BTW-Jesus was there with God when He created everything.

So, if you're saying that Jesus went against God before He was born...then that is another whatif. It's still beyond our minds to think of that what if.

To directly answer the question, who would I follow if the what if happened either way, I don't know. Too complicated, can't whatif.
Sorry.

Peace.

Matthew 12:25 (Amplified Bible)
25And knowing their thoughts, He said to them, Any kingdom that is divided against itself is being brought to desolation and laid waste, and no city or house divided against itself will last or continue to stand.

Here's a thought for you to think about. What if the 10 commandments were taking a way completely? Our court systems don't allow murder, stealing, and slander. You can sue someone for slander and depending on how bad the person is slandered they may end up in court.

Now those are at least 3 of the 10 commandments set up there. Think of a world that didn't know the 10 commandments and think about how much chaos we would be in right now if it weren't for law and justice.

Thinking about your question more deeply I think that the world would be empty with out God's Grace.

I wouldn't follow the devil knowing that the devil comes as an angel of light to decieve those who believe in God. Satan comes as an angel of light to decieve so there is no what if's. Believers already know what the bible does say.

As a Christian, God is the Father, Jesus is the Son, separate beings. If God was a tyrant he would cease to be God. Therefore I would follow God.

In the book of Mark and Luke, he was tempted to accept the ways of Luciefer and did not accept. When he was baptized, God opened up heaven, looked at him and said, "this is my son, whom I love and with you, I am very well pleased. Jesus would not have turned against God because he knew that he was God's son. And how could he perform so many miracles if he turned against his father? Jesus would have never been born if he turned against God. We would never celebrate Christmas and I guess we all would not have a relationship with God. None of us would call ourselves Christians nor would we have anything to believe in and all of us would suffer because all of us would be sinners without a hope of salvation. All of us have broken the commandments but Jesus died on the cross so we can have that personal relationship with God. Passion of the Christ would not be a popular movie. Also, if Jesus turned against God, this world would be miserable because no one would know how to kind, gentle, loving, patient, and peaceful. Matt. 12:25 says, Every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand." No one will go to heaven if Jesus turned agaisnt him.

I also know a hypothetical situation: When you asked that question! Jesus said what he said in Matt 12:25 because he knew there was going to be people like you asking that question? Tell me again: how can you NOT believe when it is obvious he already KNOWS YOU and still ACCEPTS YOU!
