Because we're human, and we're gonna make mistakes. I think that's why we have the atonement and can repent because God knows we'll make mistakes and if we repent and are truly sorry for our mistakes we've made and work to not do them again, He'll forgive us.

Because, you can't expect Jesus to just forgive you for your sin, you have to learn the consequences of your actions, and learn from your mistake and try not to do it again, but if you don't have shame or go to church or even try to make up for your sin then you can't expect forgiveness but wait for punishment.

Because there's a difference between justification & sanctification. When we come to faith in Christ, we're declared righteous (justified) in the sight of God based on the perfect righteousness of Christ. His righteousness is imputed to us. However, now that we're justified...there's a process known as sanctification that God performs through us (until the day we die).

We're still in the flesh & wrestle with it daily. And when we sin (and we all do)...we break down under that sin & cry out to God in repentance.

#1 Jesus DID forgive us our sins.

#2 We sin because we choose to, God gave us this option.

#3 We suffer because God tests our loyalty to Him and Christ the Lord.

P.S.) Smile...

If Jesus forgave us for our sins, why should we not commit sins freely ?

well, jesus came so that ours sins might be forgiven, not to forgive everyone . you have to ask forgivness and give your life over to him and then you will not sin but you may suffer for christ's sake, then we are told in the bible to be happy that we were worthy to suffer for his name

You think you should be able to do any evil thing you want and have no consequences??? How Christian of you!!!

Well welcome to reality! What you do will come back to you! There is no God I'm sorry that can stop cause and effect!! You jump up you will fall down. Jesus (Fantasies) can't stop that!

We can't help it, it's our nature.
If we did not sin we would not be humans. Temptation is among us to make us fall, but the only way to go "up" is if we are "down". We have to be able to sin somewhat to be able to repent and WANT to get close to God.
