Ok, I know its pretty common to fly in your dreams. I've done it plenty of times. It has been like a floating sensation, but I had a really cool dream where I felt like I was flying really really really fast. And I have also had many dreams that I was flying around in my house, and it feels kinda realistic; it has happened about three times or so, two times i wa sin my room, and once i was in my basement. I was told this flying sensation is your spirit temporarily leaving your body. What do you think? Is my spirit flying around my house at night?

you may want to look into astral projection and OBEs
there are many people who do travel during their dreams
and i understand when some people think it is just a dream
but there have been cases where people can describe places they have never been to
or in one particular case i know of personally ... a little girl was seen in her living room when she was in fact up stairs in her room asleep
so yes it is possible you were travelling

I think you're making too much of this. I usually only fly when it's a lucid dream, and then it's sort of like a really sweet video game.

But your spirit moving around in your body? When a bird sleeps, is it imaging itself flying or just moving around in its body?

Dreams are when your brain is doing what it normally does -- interpreting information -- but it has no information to interpret, so it sort of "makes stuff up". That's all that's going on.

Strange things happen in your dreams. Your spirit could be breaking loos at night out trying to find another spirit. I know shortly after my uncle was killed his spirit came to visit me and my spirit sometimes contacted his in my dreams. We use to have some great times together. It finally got so he could visit me when I was awake. Only after that things sort of settled down to normal. I have been visited by my Grandfathers spirit since I was five. xx

There's an easy way to test this. Have someone put something on top of a dresser and see if the next morning you knwo what it was. You will find that you will not. A dream is a dream.

No!!

People fly in dreams because they are NOT REAL!

The idea that a dream means anything is crap! It is just random images created by the brain while our body recharges! Nothing spooky about it!

I think only someone who has experienced this can relate to the realism. I know it sounds totally strange, but I have felt that way before too, but rarely. It is just so real. I don't think it's your spirit leaving your body, otherwise, I think you'd be dead.

You're mind is flying and enjoying the heck out of it in your dreams. It's all illusory just like clouds flitting across the sky. Enjoy them when you have them.
