I know the regular sites like travelocity and expedia offer all about the same prices but does anyone know a website that sells tickets cheaper than them without having to worry about not getting your ticket?

www.sidestep.com
They search airline websites as well as search engines (e.g. Orbitz, OneTravel, Travelocity, etc.).
I always use them; however, if you get a deal through them that's at Orbitz, if it's all on one airline, go to that airline's website, and see if it's cheaper there. There may be a difference of +/- $5-10.

I use expedia to get an idea on who flies where and when.. then I book with the airline directly..

often booking direct with the carrier (especially online) can get you 10-15% savings off the retail price.
