Just about every religion/philosophy/belief system known to mankind has had some kind of recognition of an existence after death. Some believe in reincarnation, some believe in heavens and hells, and some believe in a state beyond our understanding, etc...Quantum physics now admit something that the ancients have known for thousands of years, that life/energy can never be destroyed, but only be changed or transformed into another form...

Of course it depends on which religion you belong to, but.... I believe you have the chance to live forever in paradise on earth after life, if you have fulfilled god's will. But when your dead....your dead!
