I still don't get how they ignore that bit about the camel and the eye of the needle.

I am glad to see we have an expert on Jesus' political beliefs in the room.
I had no idea he was a liberal.
As for why the passage in red is in red, it is very simple. The PERSON who wrote it decided to use red ink, that is all.
It is a shame people like you have computers, you should be cut off from the world. With all of your useless bible thumping, you are no better than the Republicans who are so certain that God is on their side.

I dont think Jesus wanted people to read or acknowledge the bible, after all it was meant to glorify his father instead.
Jesus wouldn't:
1. Start a religion.
2. Build a church building.
3. Condemn or attack people.
4. Fill people with fear to gain followers.
5. Teach an eternal hell.
6. Call the Bible God's word.
7. Make people wait for heaven, someday.
8. Fill people with guilt & shame to gain followers.
9. Ask or want to be worshipped.
10. Teach that people "have to do something" to be "saved."
11. Teach that God is vengeful and full of wrath.
12. Love people conditionally.
13. Teach that some people will be lost eternally.

Good question. Yes. The law came through Moses and Truth and Grace through Jesus Christ.
When we are born of God, we are clothed in Christ righteousness, not our own self righteousness. His blood washes away our sin.
The perfect law of liberty is to love God and love others. Gods love for us to receive is having our sins washed away by the Blood of the Lamb. And putting on the Righteousness of Christ.

I've never thumped my Bible in my life & I don't shout @ people. but then I'm not a self- righteous bigot either. It is possible to be a Christian without being self-righteous.

You go boy!! Yes, you are right. They drive people away from God, but are too blind to see this. What will happen when they realize what they have done? Will they ever confess their sin?
