I used to drink gallons of Diet Coke. Even though it is sugar-free, it contains artifical sweeteners that are not good for us. I started getting extreme dizzy spells one day and I stopped drinking Diet Coke cold turkey. I lost 40 lbs. after I stopped drinking this stuff and have not had a dizzy spell since. I have not had any beverages like this since 1998 (diet or regular). My answer to your questions is NO it is not healthy to curb your hunger. If you feel hungry, snack on healthy snacks in between meals like crackers (made with wheat flower), nuts, raisins, fruit, etc.

The healthiest thing to do is have a small snack and some water.
I find that if I drink two bottles of water that I feel fuller. Dehydration can cause a lot of undesirable symptoms like disorientation, memory loss, ect. That's what can occur when you substitute diet colas for water. You will also find more acne and drier skin. Try Propel, it's delicious and you'll find you can drink two bottles back to back with no problem.

I would say it's neither healthy nor unhealthy. You are correct that water would be better for you, though. I'm a big snacker myself and I tend to have celery sticks, carrots, or almonds on hand at all times! Here's something else for you to keep in mind...I stopped drinking soda completely and lost 2 sizes in the matter of 2 weeks. A few of my friends did the same thing and experienced the same results! Give it a shot and see if it also helps to improve your health!

Diet coke is so unhealthy. Drink water or juice. You're just trying to curb your appetite, and it's just as filling to drink a healthy juice or water.

Its not very healthy, juice or water is perfered. Interestingly enough, recent research has show that the fake sugar in diet drinks actually make cravings for food or soda more and can actually be counterproductive.

Music forces you to eat more. According to a survey by the journal Psychology along with Marketing, soft, classical tunes encourage one to take time over your supper, so you consume more meals. So, switch off – silence is likely to make you more aware of what you’re setting up your mouth.

It’s Friday brunch time and you just can’t stop going back pertaining to seconds. But hang on! Stop to get a minute and suck on an additional strong mint. The flavour will probably put you off that finally plate of chicken korma/roast beef/sushi medley.

no, it is not healthy. You are better off with a piece of celery or a carrot . there are no calories to speak of in them. read the ingredients on the coke and you will see that they are not healthy ingredients and they may have more calories then you think you are getting.

I agree with the one that said sometimes diet soda can make you feel more hungry. Try water with lemon in it. Also eating the fruit is better for you that juice. Juice has more calories and the fruit has fiber that helps.
