I've never heard of anyone being addicted to Tylenol #1 - though I guess if it were possible, it would be the codeine in it that would be the addictive part.....
If you know someone who is taking large amounts of tylenol (any number, or even just plain tylenol), that might be worrying, not for the codiene, but for the tylenol itself, which can, in large doses, cause liver damage, sometimes severe enough to cause fulminant liver failure (in large overdoses)

Tylenol #1? There is nothing addictive in regular Tylenol. It doesn't contain codeine.
Tylenol 2,3, 4 contain codeine.

Tylenol 1 is formulated with codeine, a mild narcotic. Mild or not, all narcotics are addictive when used over a prolonged period. Withdrawal will be uncomfortable at best but not life-threatening. For help with it, call any Emergency Room and seek their advice.
